STAVCON Vodcasting Presentation
STAVCON 08 Web 2.0 and PowerPoint workshop
A short presentation on Web 2.0 in particular vodcasting type activities.
This is from a workshop I conducted for Science Teachers in Victoria. Though some of it needs further explanation (e.g. Students would have to ask the artists at myspace for permission to use their music and for unsigned bands generally this would not be a problem).
It briefly outlines the difference of Web 1 and Web 2 in terms of how we get students to use the web.

Eyejot
Eyejot is the first, comprehensive, client-free online video messaging platform ideal for both personal and business communications. It offers everyone the ability to create and receive video messages in a self-contained, spam-free environment. With no client to install, you can start using Eyejot immediately with any browser, on any platform.
Note: Eyejot doesn't cope on a heavily filtered network, the video can be slow and a little disjointed (making for some unattractive facial expressions). But I like the ability to put a short cut to eyejot in the toolbar.
